China will Pay for $2.2 Trillion U.S. Stimulus Package: Trump

WASHINGTON – U.S. President Donald Trump has said that he will find a way to make China pay for a multibillion-dollar U.S. coronavirus relief program but currently stuck in the Senate.
In a similar move, Trump has attempted to make Mexico pay for a wall the United States is building along its southwest border.
Trump made that election promise in 2016. The wall is being built, but with American taxpayer dollars. Mexico is not contributing.
Nonetheless, Trump has claimed that China will pay the full cost of the next coronavirus relief program.
“We are going to take it from China,” he said.
“I’m telling you now; it’s from China. They’re the ones who caused this problem.”
“There are a lot of ways, and I will understand each of them. I have already understood them,” Trump said in response to questions about how he would charge China.
Trump said he had not spoken to Chinese President Xi Jinping about paying for the stimulus package.
Trump said he had not talked to Xi for some time. “I don’t want to talk to him,” Trump said.
Trump did not say how much he would look for. Democrats in the White House and Senate remain firmly opposed to the $2.2 trillion packages crafted by House Democrats.
Democrats passed this revised amount in their original Heroes Act on May 15.
Republicans opposed this overpriced amount. The money is intended to help American families and businesses on land.
Republicans came up with a $500 billion alternative that Democrats rejected.
Trump opposes some demands for the updated law championed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California). He is against giving federal aid to states whose finances have been affected by spending to control the coronavirus.
“She asks for all kinds of treats,” Trump said.
“She wants to bail out poorly managed Democratic states and cities. She wants money for things you could never; you just couldn’t, your pride couldn’t let that happen.”
“We love the stimulus, we want a stimulus, and we think we should have a stimulus because it was China’s fault,” Trump said. Last week he said he would back a $1.8 trillion package, but later said he wanted more.
