Mine Blast in Nimroz Kills 5 ANDSF Members

NIMRUZ – At least five Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) were killed, and further two were wounded, after their vehicle hit through a roadside mine in Kang district of Nimroz province, local authorities confirmed Tuesday.
Bahram Haqmal, head of provincial Governor’s press office, said the incident occurred at around 11:50 a.m. in central Kang district of Nimroz province.
The blast claimed at least five Afghan forces and injured further two, he added.
No group or individual has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
Nimruz is one of the insecure provinces in southwest Afghanistan, where Taliban have extensive influence and activities.
