MoPH Reports 96 New Cases of COVID-19 in 24 Hours

KABUL – Ministry of Health reported 96 positive cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours in the country, summing up the total cases to 38,494.
Balkh has the highest toll with 56 people tested positive, Kabul Eight, Herat Seven, Kandahar Two, Nangarhar Two, Baghlan Two, Daikundi Seven, Ghazni Seven, Nimruz One, Ghor Five and Two recorded positive in Helmand.
According to Ministry of Health’s Data, currently there are 6,522 active cases of COVID-19, where a total of 105,053 samples have been tested.
Total positive cases in the country are 38,494, a total of 1,415 died, and 30,557 have recovered since the beginning of first wave.
Meanwhile, three individuals have died in past 24 hours, according to the Ministry.
Globally confirmed cases are 27,120,608 and the death toll have reached to 883,590, according to John Hopkins University.
