Putin Invites Imran Khan to Visit Russia

ISLAMABAD – Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Russia in September at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin, Pakistani media reported.
According to the Geo TV, the Russian President had extended an invitation to Prime Minister Imran Khan at the meeting of the Council of Heads of State (CHS) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Bishkek.
They added that Putin had invited Prime Minister Imran Khan to participate as a special guest at the Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held from 4 to 6 September in the Russian city of Vladivostok.
During his meeting in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), the Russian leader expressed his desire to maintain good relations with Pakistan.
President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Imran Khan were seen sitting side by side during the summit.
Imran Khan told him that his country wanted to promote and expand its ties with Russia.
The two leaders discussed the regional and international situation at the dinner. It was decided to promote bilateral relations at the highest level.
