Qureshi, Kamilov Discuss Issues of Multilateral Cooperation

ISLAMABAD – Pakistani Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, had a telephone conversation with the Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulaziz Kamilov, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said Friday.
Both sides discussed the state and prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan in political, trade, economic investment, transport-communications and other fields.
The importance of joining the efforts to bring peace and stability in Afghanistan, through its participation in the regional economic process was also discussed.
Particular attention was paid to the development of transport corridors between Central Asia and South Asia, as well as to the increase in turnover.
Foreign ministers debated issues of multilateral cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
Parties also exchanged views on other issues on the common agenda.
