Released Taliban Prisoners Reach Qatar

KABUL – The Afghan government has released three key Taliban prisoners, including Annas Haqqani, for exchange with a kidnapped US professor and an Australian professor, reported local media on Tuesday.
“Annus Haqqani togethor with two other haqqani networok prisnoers were released from Bagram and arrived in Qatar Monday morning,” ToloNews aired on it’s news bulletin.
This comes as taliban outfit has set free American and Australian hostages as part of prisoner swap for the three released prisoners.
According to media reports, Taliban released Kevin King, Timothy Weeks – the lecturers of American University of Afghanistan (AUAF).
This comes after there were uncertainties whether the swap would actually take place.
