Car Bomb Injures Six Policemen in Zabul

QALAT – At least 6 policemen were wounded in a car bomb targeting a security checkpoint in Zabul province on Thursday morning, said local officials.
The incident happened in the Noorak area in Shahoy district of the province when a car bomb targeted the checkpoint, said Hekmatullah Koshi, provincial police chief.
He said that the Taliban have increased their attacks in the district and 15 of their fighters so far have been killed. “Clashes are still ongoing in some parts,” he said.
Though the intra-Afghan peace talks in Doha have restarted, no possibility of ceasefire seems viable at the moment.
However, the Taliban have not yet commented about the attack.
