Third Round of Afghanistan-China-Pakistan Dialogue to be Held in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – On Saturday, in Islamabad, the third round of trilateral dialog between China, Afghanistan and Pakistan will take place.
In a statement, the Foreign Office of Pakistan said that Chinese President Wang Yi, Pakistani Minister of Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani, will lead their respective Delegations.
The dialog agenda is centered around political relations and the [ Afghan] peace process, security and counter-terrorism cooperation and growth collaboration and connectivity, said the declaration.
In 2017, it was launched as a means for trilateral cooperation in problems of mutual concern, focused on the collaboration on economic development, peace and safety, as well as China-Afghanistan-Pakistan Foreign Ministers dialogue.
The first tripartite dialog conference took place in 2017 in Beijing and the second meeting in December 2018 in Kabul.
The dialog offers a chance to demonstrate Afghanistan, China and Pakistan’s joint attempts on political collaboration and the facilitation.
