US will Replace Troops in Syria with Mercenaries: Russia

MOSCOW – US Central Command replaces some of its regular troops in northern Syria with employees of Private Military Companies (PMC), said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova in a press conference in Moscow.
“The number of PMC personnel in Syria exceeds 4,000, and it should be noted that it was not until the second half of June that 540 people, including 70 commanders and instructors, arrived in the country,” she said.
According to Zakharova, the main goal of the PMC is to train loyal militants in the United States and protect oil sites.
Since 2011, hundreds of thousands of people have died and more than 10 million have been displaced in Syria, according to UN officials.
Speaking to Afghanistan, Zakharova said the dialogue between Afghans and the Special Representatives’ Consultative Meetings on Afghanistan in the “three plus” format (Russia, the United States, China and Pakistan) are “essential political mechanisms and complementary peaceful solution” in Afghanistan “.
“We are convinced that the combination of the success of these two consultation mechanisms and the promotion of negotiations between the United States and the Taliban movement will undoubtedly contribute to the solution of the Afghan problem”, She said.
The raging Afghan conflict is in its 18th year, with thousands of lives lost and millions forced to flee their homes
