JALALABAD – Three border police personnel, including a commander, were killed as a result of a roadside bombing in eastern Nangarhar province on Wednesday morning.
Ghorzang, a local public representative, told news sources that a tank of border police struck the roadside bomb in the Gorgoray area of Haska Mena district.
Three border police personnel, including their commander, were killed and a fourth wounded in the explosion, he added.
Meanwhile, Nangarhar police spokesperson Fareed Khan confirmed the bombing. However, he did not provide the details of the incident.
A credible source in governor’s house, confirmed the blast against the border police personnel and said three security officials were killed.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
Separately, the governor’s house said several Taliban militants were killed as the bomb they were carrying exploded in Sherzad district this morning.
The Taliban have not yet commented on either of the incidents.
