The Attack on Sikh Temple in Kabul Widely Condemned

KABUL – The attack on a Sikh temple in Kabul that killed 25 people and injured 8 others was widely condenmned by neighboring states and international organizations.
In a statement, Pakistan condemned the assault and said there could be no justification for such an attack. Pakistan’s Foreign Office statement expressed solidarity with the people of Afghanistan.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also condemned Wednesday’s attack on Sikh temple in Kabul.
Guterres reiterated that attacks against civilians are unacceptable and those who carry out such crimes must be held accountable, said Stephane Dujarric, UNSG spokesperson, in a statement.
Guterres expressed his deepest sympathy to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured, said the statement.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson strongly condemned the deadly as well.
In a statement on Wednesday, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said terrorists will fail to achieve their objectives by such acts of terror.
