Prince William to Grace BAFTA Awards with Virtual Appearance

LONDON – Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge, will virtually attend the BAFTA Film Awards, which will be broadcast live from the Royal Albert Hall in London on Sunday.
According to the press release issued by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), the Duke of Cambridge will appear by video and deliver a speech celebrating the resilience of the film industry over the past year.
Kate Middleton’s husband, who has served as BAFTA president since 2010, will appear at the awards opening night on Saturday.
The Duke will be leading a virtual conversation with costume designer Jenny Beavan and makeup and hair designer Sharon Martin about the locked out set and the art of filmmaking.
Award presenters will include Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Asim Chaudhry, Sophie Cookson, Phoebe Dynevor, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Cynthia Erivo, Hugh Grant, Richard E. Grant, Tom Hiddleston, Felicity Jones, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, James McAvoy, David Oyelowo, Pedro Pascal and Jonathan Pryce will appear from L.A. Rose Byrne, Andra Day, Anna Kendrick and Renée Zellweger.
Television and radio personalities Edith Bowman and Dermot O’Leary will host the BAFTA. All of the nominees will join the ceremony virtually.
