Saudi FM Appreciates Pakistan’s Role in Countering Islamophobia

RIYADH – Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, called for a global dialogue within the international community to face the challenge of Islamophobia.
In an interview with Pakistani television, he said that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are jointly working on various challenges that Ummah is facing, including Islamophobia.
Appreciating Pakistan’s role in combating Islamophobia, Prince Faisal said the Organization of Islamic Council (OIC) is an important platform for the Muslim Ummah to address this issue.
Regarding Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent visit to the Kingdom, he said it would further strengthen the decades-old fraternal relationship between the two countries.
He recognized Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision for regional peace and prosperity.
The Saudi Foreign Minister praised the role of Pakistani expatriates in the development and progress of Saudi Arabia. He said that the best facilities are provided to the Pakistani workforce in accordance with Saudi laws. He said that more job opportunities were available for Pakistani workers in the Kingdom and that his country would welcome more talented workers from Pakistan.
Prince Faisal urged investors to take advantage of the investment opportunities available in the two countries.
When asked about the environmental challenge, he said Saudi Arabia is focusing on tackling climate change and also highlighted joint efforts in this regard.
Responding to another question, the Saudi foreign minister said peace in Afghanistan is imperative for regional stability, including peace in Pakistan.
